Today we continued to work on trusses (we have 11 made), metal work and welding. Miguel is very happy with all we are accomplishing. Since today was John's birthday the Chilean's surprised him with a cake and singing at lunch, which we all enjoyed.
Gloria was ready to 'help' John eat his cake.
Tonight we hosted a ladies craft night at the church. We had about 23 ladies come to make a craft with us and eat the American brownies we had made the night before. Our craft was a wall hanging for their homes. We had them etch a design on a piece of metal cut in the shape of a cross. They had a choice to either antique or color their design. The cross was then attached to black paper. At the bottom of their paper they were offered many bible verses to attach. Here is a glimpse of the evening.
And while the ladies had craft night, some of the guys went shopping in Temco, at Lider (Walmart......)
As the trip is winding to a close we continue to ask for your prayers. Tomorrow we will be finishing what we can on the projects and having a BBQ with the families at church. Sunday will be worship and a trip to a park and time to pack. Monday we say our goodbyes and head home. Please pray for the outreach of the Gospel here in Lautaro and the surrounding areas. Pray for the many who share the Word with the country of Chile.
