Greetings from Chile. This was our first day of construction. One of the projects we are helping with was to repair and fix some rotting exterior walls on the caretakers house Carlos and Elle. The leaders of Ibero American after looking at the house decided to not just put a bandaid on it. A decision was made to build a new house over the top of the existing house. We are hoping to complete a new foundation and start on some wallls while we are here. Other teams and Chileans will work to get the house completed prior to the rainy season as it is summer [80 degrees and sunny]Top left picture is Carlos and Elle the caretakers of the Church. Carlos is Mapuche one of the native people groups. Top Right -Digging the trench for the footings. Middle - Holding up the roof of the attached shed to take out support posts to tear down. Large picture -jack hammering cement in front of house. Bottom - Elle holding the ladder for Don and Sharon in the front. It was both a joy and blessing to work along side our Chilean brothers and sisters in Christ.
