Rick and Brad (an American who lives in Chile) worked on all the plumbing for the house. The team with help from our supporters raised enough money for Carlos and Elly to have hot water in this “casa” (house). We take so much for granted in our country. Sharon worked on siding and we finished filling. We were very grateful when the front loader arrived to move some of the fill material inside the house. Then we were in the shade. It took a total of 7 dump truck loads of the fill. After the floor was leveled the guys worked on the form for the center wall. Elly and Rosita were our cooks for the week to prepare our “almuerzo” (lunch). SCOTT and Terry sifted the gravel sand mix to make sand and pea gravel to put around the plumbing pipes. They used two different size crates to sift.
